Meb Keflezighi, of San Diego, CA, was in control of his race and was the first to cross the finish line. A year earlier, the famed race was clouded by the deadly actions of terrorist who planted two bombs in the finish line area of the race. But with history behind us, Meb Keflezighi ran what will be one of the more memorable races in the the Boston Marathon history. And not to be overshadowed by Meb's race, Kenyan Rita Jeptoo set a new women's course record with a time of 2:18:57. 2014 will be a year to remember.
